Meta said that no changes to Facebook’s current data gathering and sharing methods had been made.
Moreover, Meta has modified its Terms of Service to simplify users’ understanding of how the community rules function. They are better informed about the actions that might lead to their accounts being terminated or suspended.
Additionally, Meta has developed two new controls that may be used immediately after the revamp. This feature will make it easier for users to target their postings to specific groups of people. Advertisers will be able to target their ads based on user interests thanks to ad management control.
Meta has said that it will begin issuing alerts to Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger users on July 26 to make sure they are informed of the change. There is a new version of the Facebook app and updates for Instagram and Messenger. Additional privacy rules are in effect for the company’s other platforms, including WhatsApp and Workplace and Messenger Kids, and Quest devices.
Sherman commented: “We have had a series of worldwide discussions with privacy experts, legislators, and users to get feedback on how our rules might be improved.” As a result of your input, we’ve made these revisions.”
